Sponsored Skydive

This year keeper Trystan and I will be taking the opportunity to find out what its like to fly like a bird, by throwing ourselves out of plane, hopefully with a parachute.

On the 7 August 2008 we will be heading down to the North West Parachute Centre at Flookburgh in Cumbria to do a sponsored skydive. When we arrive we will have our briefing and then, weather permitting, do our Tandem jump.

The money we raise will go towards our nest box schemes where we will put up nest boxes around the countryside for all the wild owls as part of the Save an Owl for a £1 campaign and also towards projects at the Centre such as nest box cameras.

You may think we are absolutely crazy to go around throwing ourselves out of planes, but I have always wanted to do skydiving and this is a good opportunity to do one and to raise money for a great charity, as well as get some great views of the Lake District.  It will make it even more worth while as the money raised will be going towards a fantastic cause, helping to look after all the beautiful owls not only here at the centre but also out there in the wild and they are definitely worth the effort I’m sure you’ll agree.

If you would like to sponsor us to do this crazy stunt then please click on Make a Donation on this site, putting the words Skydive in the “Add delivery/comments box” which is part of the check out process.

Go to our skydive website at www.freewebs.com/skydiveowl.htm.

THANK YOU
